V1Directional control valve repair

The directional control valve sends oil to the right cylinder or motor. When it sticks or leaks, the machine doesn't move the way you tell it to. Here is how we repair directional control valves at Hidrorema.

When to get in touch

  • A lever or section sticks or is hard to move
  • The machine moves on its own without a command
  • Oil leaks between sections or past the seals
  • One movement is weak or doesn't work

How the repair works

  1. Diagnostics

We find out whether the directional control valve is to blame or the fault lies elsewhere, for example in a cylinder or the pump.

  2. Dismantling and cleaning

We dismantle the valve section by section and clean the parts.

  3. Checking the parts

We inspect the spools, springs, valves and seals, looking for scoring and wear.

  4. Repair

We replace the seals and worn parts, and for parts that are no longer made, we look for equivalents.

  5. Assembly and testing

We assemble the valve and check that the sections move freely and nothing leaks.

Directional control valve or cylinder?

If the machine drifts down on its own, either the cylinder or the directional control valve can be to blame. That is why we always look for the real cause before repairing, so you don't replace something that works.

Frequently asked questions

Do you repair multi-section valves?

Yes. We dismantle a multi-section valve section by section and repair the ones that need it.

Do I need to bring the whole machine?

Not always. If you can, bring in only the directional control valve. Not sure which unit has failed? Call +370 686 94743 and we'll advise.
